Never Center has created a clever iPhone application named Camerabag, that styles images to look like photographs from classic cameras of the past. Different filters can be applied to existing images or to photos taken live. Users can choose between the Helga, 1974, Lomo, Cinema, 1962, Mono and Infrared modes that add different gritty, moody washes over the often bland looking camphone photos.

The obscure career of Bohumil Konečný, 1905-81 (Tony Ozuna/Prague Post):

 ...  a group of disaffected Soviet dissidents who, he claimed, had created a heroine named Octobriana, a voluptuous woman with superhuman powers. In 1971, in London, Sadecký published and promoted a false samizdat book, Octobriana and the Russian Underground, which briefly became a media sensation. David Bowie was so inspired by Octobriana that he wrote songs about her intended for a film.

Dorophy Tang is a Chinese designer/illustrator whose work mixes traditional Chinese style influences and vintage elements. She has just worked with camera makers Lomography on their Diana+ model.
